Double Bass Doubling: Two Amps, One Cabinet...

I will be doubling for the first time on a gig. I would like to run a Genz Benz Streamliner for my electric and an Acoustic Image for my upright. I'll be using a Genz Benz 212 cabinet.

My problem is...When both amps are on and I'm only using one of them I get a slight distortion, but as soon as I turn the unused amp off, the distortion goes away.

When using either amp so long as the other is turned off, it sounds great.

I'm trying to eliminate the time the Genz Benz takes to warm up after turning on. Would like to leave both on and just un-mute the one I'm using.

Any suggestions or comments?

To clarify: you have both amps permanently connected to your one cab?

Line filter or separate the amps more from each other.

Wow your amps still work? That's great! The 2 inputs on your speaker are directly connected so you're basically connecting your amps outputs together. Bad idea even if one is switched off.

You could plug the effects send of your Genz into the effects return of one of the channels of the Clarus (*edit - Is it a Clarus?). Both amps use the same B&O ICEpower amp.
