Hi guys. Has anyone compared the DPA 4099B to the ATM 450? Or perhaps has anyone tried out both of these and come to a decision one way or the other?
I have the ATM 450 and H Clamp. I do like the sound I am getting (basement duo with sax and bass) I just have yet to use it live with a drummer in the mix (i.e. louder volumes). My interest is in using a mic with the amp when low volume settings will allow. It the gig is loud/boomy (and there is no FOH), I would likely opt to use a pick up.
The 4099 is attractive, in that I could just leave it attached, where I could see the the H-Clamp being a little awkward in gig settings when it comes to break time and having to lay the bass on it's side.
Just wondering how these two compare with regards to feedback, bleed over, ease of use in a live setting etc.
Thanks ahead of time,
