Double Bass DPA DAO4099 cable with 4099B?

Has anyone here tried the DPA DAO4099 "double cable" with the 4099B? It has a regular instrument cable for a pickup and a micro-dot cable in one housing. I think the cable is Mogami so I'm sure it's OK but I've read complaints about micro-dot cabling being extremely thin - anyone have experience with this 'double cable'?

I would really like to know if this is practical. I made a xlr/1/4 cable that is nice but big. If I could be confidant of the microdot connection not breaking I think I would get this...Just got the 4099b and blend and it looks just right.

I've heard different things about the Micro-Dot cable - that it's very thin and fragile but others have said it's strong due to a kevlar coating.
