Dragonburst on Koa??

So im looking at getting a carvin and ive done all my research and now the last step is choosing the finish.
I want a Swamp ash or Walnut Body (tough decision for me) and a Koa Top.
While looking at all the finishes i fell in love with the Dragonburst and i NEEEEED it :D
My question is wether or not Dragonburst will look good on Koa or is it a sin?

Personally, I would do either Ash+Maple+Dragonburst or Walnut+Koa+Clear.

Koa doesn't need any help, so thou shouldst forsake your sinful thoughts and leaveth it clear! There will be plenty of other, more appropriate opportunities for sinning.

As previously stated, Dragonburst needs to be over a light colored wood to look good.

I personally don't like the look of dark woods or Earth tones but I am in the minority on that one, I would never have any desire to own anything in Walnut or Koa.

I can't see it looking too impressive AND you're basically masking the look of koa, which is more expensive.

BTW, while we're on the subject of Carvins....anyone hear any reports/feedback on their current crop of guitars? Not that I'd ever quit bass, but a midi equipped guitar sounds kind of interesting.

While on the subject, when choosing the woods for the neck they ask me twice. The first is basic and then, a few options later it gives me "Optional Neck Options"
If im already paying for walnut in the basic option, why do they want me to pay extra again???

The first time they ask is for the neck itself, the second time is for the woods for the stringers if you want that look when viewed from the front I personally do not want to see the neck through in front so I would skip that part.

Koa, if you're crazy enough to do a finish that isn't natural, needs a finish that deepens the grain, shows the depth of the figure... Something red or yellow. Anything else and you're going to end up hiding the beauty that draws you to choose Koa in the first place.

Koa? Did someone say koa? I agree that it's a sinful sin to sin away by doing anything but natural. Maybe a very light burst, but you're sliding on the slippery slope to perdition if you do even that. Here's an example of some halfways-decent looking koa.
