Drop C strings for Epi Thunderbird IV

Hello everyone! I'd like some suggestions on some good strings for tuning between Standard (EADG) and Drop C (CGCF)

I'd also like strings that would be a little easier on my hands. I hear about D'addario Chromes and Rotosound strings but I've honestly never used them.

Yeah, 105s seem light for drop C. I have my T-Bird Pro IV permanently set up for half step down tuning, so only to Eb and I use 50-110s so that the string tension is similar to my 35" scale five string in standard tuning, strung with 40-105 and a 130 B string. Both basses have D'addario Prosteels on them.

Our band plays a bunch of Thin Lizzy, Slash, GnR stuff for the first 8 or so songs in our second set, and I'm fortunate enough to have a spare bass so that I don't have to worry about different string tension or setup changes when downtuning.

If you want a bass that you can tune and detune from E to C, that's gonna be quite different in terms of string tension and the truss rod adjustment you will need. If that was me, I would find a set of strings that worked in drop D tuning and set my bass up for those. I'd then expect the action to be a little too high when tuned up to Standard, and a little too low and potentially clanky when tuned down to C
