Drop tune 5 strings

Hello, I recently came into possession of this drop tune 5 string set (was mistakenly sent them and got to keep them). I’ve put them on eBay as I don’t have a 5 string and my idea of out there tuning is drop C#. I’m thinking they’re probably quite niche strings. Which led me to wonder what exactly would you tune a 5 string to with this set?
The set is: 53, 70, 90, 130, 174.

Looks like they're meant for F#-B-E-A-D.

Take the standard 5-string tuning, BEADG, scrap the high G and add the low F#.

I assume you have a 4-string bass. Drop C# is more of an EADG thing than BEAD (drop tune the E string down to C#).

If it was me I'd just tune to standard BEAD play the C# stuff from the B-string (C# is 2nd fret from the B-string...B-C-C#-D..and so on).

If you don’t crimp them before cutting, the core becomes loose and the winding unravels. You get it with a lot of round core strings (I know these are hex).

I crimp about a half inch in front of the desired length, then cut, insert into the center hole, then crank up to pitch.
How does one cut to the proper length, after tuning to pitch ???

I’d use that set for GCFA#D#, not quite F standard tuning but plenty low. Probably still have enough tension left to drop both the G and C to F and A# for double drop madness.
