Dual dirt pedals

I've been really interested in this but I can't find any reviews or demos that use it on bass. What are your thoughts?
I don't have it either but I've really liked the concept and I'm a fan of the DOD 250. When I saw this thread, the EQD Gray Channel came immediately to my mind.
@XXL has one and he likes it a lot. Here's what he said in another thread:
"It is a great variation on the 250 circuit. I personally like to use the first channel for Germ clipped fuzz, Its actually been my go to fuzz lately, its just that good.
The second channel I use more for how I like to use the 250, nice solid drive with a bit of grind.
With the D250 coming I'll probably still keep the GC just for the awesome germ fuzz.
My issues with the GC.. if i had to criticize, is that you cant stack the channels and sometimes Id like a tone knob to brighten up the op amp clipping."

I used to have a TC Nova Drive (kind wish I never sold it)

  • TS inspired OD channel (with clean blend control), and Rat inspired distortion channel.
  • Let's you run OD into dist in series, or dist into OD in series or both in parallel.
  • Although the engines are analog, the control is digital, as is the ability to save patches. So you can use it in simple stompbox mode, or patch/memory mode.
  • If you use TC external 3 button switch, you can access 3 saved patched remotely. (The only effect I regularly kick in and out is drive, so I used to keep my pedal board at the back of the stage and control the Nova drive remotely via a very long lead)
  • Can also be controlled via midi, if that's your thing.
Downside: It's a big lump, required 12v (I used a voltage pump) and no fx loop or individual I/O for the two channels, unlike their Nova Dynamics dual compressor, which had discrete I/O for each channel.
