Duncan Design vs Stock MIM

I recently got some Duncan Design Precision pickups from a VM (from someone here!). I'm debating putting them in my primary bass or using them in a project that I'm going to work on. At some point (in a long time when I have money), I'm going to buy the Fralins. But in the mean time, I want to either use my Duncan Design or stock MIM pickups from 10 years ago. I haven't heard the Duncans yet but I was wondering what will give me a closer sound to an old 70s precision. Could anybody give me a description of the pickups compared? Which one is clearer? Which one is more balanced in terms of bass, mid, treble. etc....

The last time I heard duncan designed P pups they was crunchier then the fender P pups. Not a bad thing at all in my book. But prob not what your looking for if looking for more fenderish P tone.

I love the DD's in my VM. Replaced the pots w. CTS. It is monster.

For OEM pups they're pretty good. But they're ceramic magnets, so they won't sound like vintage alnico. Your MIM pups will be closer to that tone.
