Duncan SCPB-2 Hot

Could someone give me an accurate and detailed description of the scpb-2 pickup? I'm planning to change the pickups in my Squier CV 50's p bass. I've read a few reviews on the pickup but one of them are quite accurate enough.

You're not getting much of a response so I thought I'd jump in even though I haven't tried the SD scpb-2 myself.

But I do have the Squier bass you have. The stock pickup is certainly not bad for such an inexpensive bass and would suit most rock players as is. It's plenty hot and doesn't lack much once you set the height. But I wanted something a bit fatter and rounder so after a lot of back and forth I ordered a custom wound pickup from Pete Biltoft. It's slightly overwound with 1/4" alnico pole pieces. I'm very happy with it. The price was great and the service amazingly fast. He had the pickup done and on its way to me the day after he got my order. So he's definitely someone to consider.

From comparing notes with another TB member I think what I have with the Pete Biltoft is something very similar to the SD Quarter Pounder scpb. He has one and we describe the resulting sound the same.

So, I'd expect the Duncan scpb2 to be an improvement in your bass if you want what these very hot pickups offer.
