Dunlop 105Q version question

I've been interested in buying this pedal for quite some time. After plenty of research I noticed 2 different versions, one with an internal trimpot to remove the auto shut off delay, and an earlier version that didnt include this. I've also read 2 versions where one places the Volume and Q pots on the bottom and others on the side.

While browsing my local craigslist I found a used one that has 4 trimpots on the side. I was wondering what version this is and what do the trimpots do?

I didn't even know about the whole multiple versions thing, and by far am no expert on this pedal but if it's on craigslist my guess would be that someone modded it. If i were you i'd go check it out, modified pedals can be pretty crazy and really awesome.

I have owned the newer version with adjustable shut off delay control and the two side knobs and think they are great. I tweaked the auto shut off to make the pedal engage as soon as you put any pressure on it. Great feature to have. The Q and volume controls are also great to dial in the pedal just right. The only thing missing would be a true bypass.

I've had mine for 13 years and can say I've had a love/hate relationship with it all the while.
My trouble at the moment is that when I turn it off it gets a slight distorted tone for half a second. It's been doing it for a year or so now, obviously not being that much a pain to me as I only really use it with distortion and it isn't so noticeable.
However I should do something about it either repair it or buy a new one (whatever works out cheaper).

My point is you'll get at least ten years from a new one.

Back to your main point it's gotta be modded. I've never seen a 4 pot version in 15 years. Though this one intrigues me.

Oh ok. Well I guess the best bet is to go see the pedal. Ad didnt give much details besides phone number and price. But it did seem kinda pricey for a used version of this pedal since I usually see them go for $60-$70 bucks. Maybe it is a cool modded version. Regardless thanks for all the input.
