Dunlop DVP4 Mini Small Range?

Hi there.

I've had a DVP4 Mini for some time that I use as an expression pedal for an HX Stomp.

Recently I noticed something odd/sub-par about the behavior: it only actually sends signal through a very small range of it's motion. I'm not sure if it's always been this way and I never noticed, or something recently changed.

What I mean is let's say the pedal's physical motion moves through an arc of about 30°, where 0 is toe all the way down (physically) and 30 is heel all the way down (physically).

Moving from 30 to 25 (moving toe down about 1/6 of the way through it's range) does nothing. Helix still reads 0.
Moving 25 to 15 moves smoothly 0 to 100 reading on the helix.
Moving 15 to 0 (ie, about HALF the total range of motion) does nothing. Helix reads 100 all the way through.

Is this expected behavior? adjustable? related to DVP4 or Stomp? Any help appreciated!

Have you messed with all this?

I've also experienced some weird behavior with my DVP4 and HX Effects.

30-25 I get no change, then 25-5 is full sweep, and 5-0 sounds like I'm back to 30.

What I've read is a lot of conflicting information, but the primary suggestion is to change the polarity inside the DVP4 and in the HX settings. Some people also suggest a standard TS cable instead of TRS, but others say that TRS works just fine. I have gotten no clarification which jack to plug into on the DVP4 though.

I haven't tried any of these fixes because I've been too lazy, though.
