The labella have sharper attack maybe due to the stiffer tension. The EB bounce more which i think create that kind of compression. The labella 760FS feels like plucking a steel rod (exagerated) compared to the rubbery feel of the EB...

Can we assume you're actually referring to the Dunlop and not EB? There is nothing "rubbery" about EB (stainless steel), even with the 40-95 set.

Ahh yes so sorry. I meant the Dunlop not the EB. The EB cobalt flats is nowhere as stiff as the 760FL, the EB feels similar to the 45-105 Dunlop maybe with the Dunlop feels bouncier a tad

Just for the record... EB Cobalt Flats are more flexible than the EB Stainless Steel Flats (aka Group Flats), which still are not as stiff as the La Bella DTF.

I like them once they break in a bit. To me they are pretty bright right out of the pack.

I saw the new EB group flats 2.5 at a local music shop. Do you know if the group flat feels smoother/more slippery than the cobalt flat?

The Group Flats have a more traditional feel, meaning silky smooth, while the Cobalt Flats have a bit of sticky and grabby feel (almost like half-rounds/groundwound), at least when new, due to the way the outer winding has tiny little gaps in between. Those gaps are there by design for added flexibility.

I think tension is pretty close. Not sure about the math, but feel-wise tension is super similar. The Dunlop strings are a little more tactile. The LTFs feel smoother to me.

I really like the Dunlop flats because I like the midrange they have, but since they got expensive, I use Fender 9050s.

This was my experience too. I like 9050s but they're really stiff IMO. The Dunlops feel like a lower tension version. I currently have Dunlops on my Precision and they sound great. Give them six months or so and they break in very nicely.
