I think people in bands who don't accept their bandmates' opinions without whining are jerkoffs, quite frankly. Doesn't mean I always agree or go along with what they say, but geez, get over yourselves, people!

Dunlop Flatwounds premiering at NAMM

This may actually be the tuner's fault and not Dunlop. My Caprice G tuner breaks flats and I had a Sabre that did the same thing. In both cases I swapped the tuners for Hipshot. I'm waiting for my set for the Caprice, but when I swapped on the Sabre I had no problems.

So...these are listed on Dunlop's site but there are zero available anywhere by the looks of things and juststrings.com and bassstringsonline.com do not have them listed either...
I owned a couple of sets of the first introduced Dunlop flats (medium gauge 45/105) and they were pretty decent and sounded nice but just a bit too much tension for me (a Thomastik user) but this gauge might be just what the doctor ordered...anyone know where they might be found or are they just not released yet?

Yeah...I owned a few sets of the original gauge of these Dunlop flats 45-105 with the black silks...but I am interested in the .040 to .100 gauge Dunlop flats...no one seems to have them available
I've got a 5-string set on order. .045 - .125. Let's see how it goes. I wanted to try a set of Labella LTF but didn't see any gauges I liked.
You'll find the tension about the same as the LTF anyway. Feel is similar though maybe a little sticky at first. Similar mids but more clarity
Gotta say that on the set of Dunlop flats that I tried, there was absolutely no stickiness at all. Now Chromes...they were sticky for a few days. But not the Dunlops. Not doubting your experience...just telling you mine.
It was extremely brief. It almost feels like I noticed it and then they felt completely smooth in the blink of an eye.
I am liking these a lot. Very much like LaBellas but with more up top. No stickiness and very polished and smooth. The G string is really twangy for me though. I hope that settles in a bit. I don't mind twangy if they're all twangy.
Takes a little longer than the others but it does.
Lotion or beard wax will take the edge off a little quicker.
