I love the sound of my iAmp800 into the VL208, and I use the deep button when playing at low volume to achieve the same effect as a "loudness" button on a home stereo; I definitely have to disengage the deep button as the volume increases to prevent speaker damage.

I'd like to find a pair of lightweight cabinets that would enable me to EQ the iAmp to my liking without worrying about speaker damage. I'd be curious to hear a VL208 atop a small sub, like the Danley TH-mini.

If you plug an external preamp (like the Noble) into the iAMP Pro effects send jack, does the amp disengage its built-in preamp and EQ modeling capability? Usually this is the case but some do not, and the EA documentation is sparse. Thank you!
