When I was in a band, I spend the money on custom fit ear plugs. I did not want to take the chance! as a musician, being deaf and having my hands amputated are my nightmares.
I never did quite get used to them, but I still wore them. I am glad I did.- Hard hitting drummer and LOUD guitarist!!! too much.
Buy the cheap ER20s, to get an idea how sound will change, get used to the idea of wearing them, then spend the cash on custom plugs - ear plugs not hair plugs
