Early L 2000e Question

dang, i'll never remember that without pushing out some other equally vital piece of triv-info;)
i'm glad there's guys like you guys around, or i'd never keep all this straight!

C'mon, Chef. There must be some piece of pure trivia you could sacrifice for the 82 = rosewood nugget. Hell, the other day I had the theme to the TV show "Alice" running through my head, which I can't have seen in probably 25 years or more. I'd gladly free up that space for ... well for anything else, really.

But wait a minute ... I have an '81 L1K with a rosewood board. Why would the 1K differ from the 2K? Weren't the necks pretty much identical on those early models?

I would have thought the only difference was the sticker, and in fact I have swapped necks between L2Ke and L1000 of that period.
In fact, I've just plain swapped a lot of three bolt necks around.
