Double Bass Earpiece Monitor?

Anybody know what this is that Stanley Clarke is sporting. I have been thinking about some kind of head based monitor for those loud gigs.
This was at the MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL 2005.

It looks like an earpiece that is quite common in scoring sessions amongst french-hornplayers that dislike the single sided Beyer cans. They only come as attachments to eyeglasses though as far as I know.

I think the ear piece it the way to go. It's probably the only way to get an idea of what you sound like when the volume is out of control. I wounder what they run for?

They can get pretty pricey, especially if you go wireless.

I know people who swear by them, and I also know people who are scared to death of them on the chance that some sound guy will deafen them with feedback/whitenoise/journey/etc

Thanks Kam, I had seen these at the local Guitar Center. They only had the super.fi 3 Studio models. Looks like they are $129 on the web site.
As a UB player I wonder if I would be better off with the 5 EB (extended bass for $199. I didn't see the option for wireless.
