i have a slight problem. i have an audition set up for a university, and i am freaking out. i wasn't before, but now i am. the reason is because i called in to set up a time, and i was hoping that since i don't own an upright, and i haven't had access to one in a while (my school's only upright that i usually use to practice broke on a band trip a while ago), they would let me audition on electric, and since this is my back-up school, i didnt think much of it, especially since my main school that i'm auditioning for is for the jazz program, and they accept auditions on electric. the problem is they won't let me audition on electric, and now i'm in a bit of a rut. i haven't played in a while, and even though i could probably work my ass off in the next 2 weeks to get my technique to at least acceptable standards the problem is my peices. i need 2 contrasting peices, so i can do one jazz peice and that shouldn't be much of a problem, but now i have to come up with a 2nd peice, and i don't know any simple peices that i can get down. i'm looking for some help with a song suggestion, i would really prefer if it wasn't arco, since my bowing technique honestly wasn't that strong even before i was cut off from string bass access, and now its probably just jelly. so i was wondering if i could get some help from you guys, i'm at the point where i dont think i should bother showing up. haha.

oh and before your post, don't harp on me for the fact that you can't beleive i'm actual going through with this audition, or that i'm deciding to go into university for music. if you never try youll never know.
