EBMM StingRay or StingRay Special

I've had both and although for some the neck pickup "gets in the way" I could never tell a difference between using the bridge only pickup on both. What I did find was that 2 pickups on full made a killer rock tone, while I could still get the Stingray character only the bridge solo. There were a few good tones between the 2 but I wouldn't describe the "getting in the way" a reason to get rid of the second pup.

Sure thing, to each their own of course, luckily there’s plenty of options today and variety is the spice of life :)

I prefer the old ‘Ray’s, 3-band especially. They have, as you well know, that cutting aggressive grind.
I played a Special when they first came out, and I thought “meh”.

If I were considering a new EBMM, it would be a Sterling 5H. Those things kill. I just wish they came in more colors than Red and Blue. (I would get the blue one...)
