Ordered a "Blemished" version from MF (a dent, no power cable, and no manual; just amp). With discounts it cost me $1069.

Anyway, this thing is a monster! You increase the Drive just a bit and it gets the tubes going; you get this smooth, punchy, and fat tone. But its not fat like . . . . boomy. Defined, clear, and slightly compressed. I wanted to go with the DB 750 or 751, but, frankly, I am glad I went with this.

It's a nice amp. I had one for a while.

Earlier versions of it had problems with the power switch, but I understand that was resolved in the last version(s).

Congrats on the Fafner. I had an earlier grey faced version and yes it had power switch problems, i constantly had to send it off to Ebs for repairs. But when it worked properly, man it had the most amazing sound. Im glad to hear Ebs corrected that.

I've had both a grey stripe and a blue stripe Fafner. One of my favorite heads ever. Really versatile and such a great tone.
