REally loving it. I've had it for a few months now and am realy getting to know it. I find it cuts through the mix much better than other powered pre-di's too.

I still have 2 things I'm not sure about though.

1. What is the 'link' jack in between the output (to amp) and the chanel A input? What does it link?
2. It is very powerful, I only have the volume set to 10 o'clock (a bit over a quarter power), will it power a power amp?

"link" is just hard wired to the channel A input - like a DI parallel output. The manual mentions it, but doesn't specifically say much - the connection is shown in the block diagram.

Should have plenty of grunt to drive a power amp.

I love this thing too, had a jam the other night on headphones and the tube sim worked a treat - sounded great!

The one thing that put me off buying one was that the speaker sim only affects the DI output and not the headphone output. I imagine this would make fuzz and distortion a bit harsh through the headphones - is this the case?

I hadn't noticed until now that there is no dedicated tuner out - thanks for taking the shine off it man.

So I can use the link as a line to a tuner. Could I also use it for a second amp? If I understand the mute wont work on it and it would only be for chanel A.

It does seem a funny thing to have. Why not have a dedicated second amp output for both chanels or have a dedicated tuner out. (spose I could us the fx send and return for this).

Most "dedicated tuner outs" are wired exactly like this - hard wired permanently to the input jack. So just pretend it says "Tuner out" and not "Link" and you've got exactly what you want!

The reason they do it this way is so you can use it like a conventional, one channel DI box. I think this would be preferable to most people over an output for a second amplifier.

You can use it for whatever you would like, but just keep in mind it's literally no different to using a Y cable and so it is subject to all the same issues.

Not if your distortion box has a tone control. BTW, the distortion in the Microbass is pretty awesome.

I think that's exactly what it's supposed to do as I hear the same thing. I don't use it, though. I don't usually use it as a DI, and my rigs always get a 5k rolloff.
