EBS Reidmar 502 power light burned out

Hi,
The blue power light (on other reidmars its red) on the front panel burned out. It kind of looks like the actual blue lens can be unscrewed and maybe there is a lightbulb behind it but I don't just want to start messing with it. I don't want to break anything.The light is not really important because the switch in the back is lit too.
The amp is only a few months old and I'll be selling it anyways. But I want to fix it first.
Can I just unscrew that lens or do I need to take the amp to my tech?

If the amp's only a few months old it's not your problem to fix. Take it back for repair.

HI, Sure you can ... I did it ! You have just to unscrew it and screw it again and the lightbulb will work ! It is hard to unscrew by hand (take a tool pliers and a cloth). Sorry for my english, I am french so my english is french too ;-)

To get such lamps out I use a short piece of appropriately sized heat shrink tubing to grip the lamp and unscrew it.

I did get help from EBS Sweden and it was an easy fix. I still can't warm up to this amp. I pull it out every once in a while but i never really like it. Haven't had any gigs in a while. I really would like to compare it to my Markbass LM II in a gig situation.

Same problem. I used needle-nose pliers with very thin tongs (or whatever they're called) and got it out. But why don't they just use a simple bulb? Where would someone buy a new one? I've never seen anything like them and wouldn't even know what to shop for online.

I still have mine and have warmed up to it a bit more. I have never been a fan of the smiley face EQ. On most amps that contour thing is just wrong to use in a band setting for the sound I'm after. But on this amp I learned that it sounds best ( I like the Marcus Fender J bass sound) with the contour switch on. I have to add a little bit of the mids at around 300- 500k depending on which one of my basses I use and back off on the treble but not the bright.
It sounds very good now. The light is continuing to work as well and It has been ON in my house almost continuously for the last two years. It definitely sounds better than my LMII.
