Ebs reidmar

Need some help my fellow bass players. I have a ebs reidmar 750 that get alot of static amd starts sounding distorted and weak after about five minutes. I thought is was the bass but I plug up my other amp and no issues at all. I did notice the gain knob is a lil scratchy? TIA

Rule out the dumb stuff first:

*Spin each knob back 'n forth a few dozen times.

*Insert a patch cord in the FX return & send.

The fact it takes 5" or so makes me think we've got a heat-influenced anomaly. If ineffective, time for a trip to the shop. Spray nothing, do nothing!

I have the same amp and, in conversations with others, ran across few shared operating quirks:

*You have to really crank the gain (2-3:00) to "saturate" the circuitry and optimize S/N ratio.

*The majority of the usable volume sweep resides between 8-11:00.

Welp! I pulled the amp out my case a couple Sundays ago and the amp sounded distorted as soon as I plugged in. Almost like my bass battery is dead anyways Ill be sending it off to a dealer soon.
