EBS Valve Drive trouble...

I did search for similar threads. Mine is surely not the tube.
I got it used. I tested it the first and it was the good ol' fat valve drive i knew.
There was a Peavey 12AT7 from the previous user in there, so I changed it to a Mullard 12AX7.
Then I started playing and for the first five minutes it was ok. After that I noticed a significant volume drop. The bypass signal was louder than the one with the pedal active. I also got a Tung Sol 12AX7 to check again but nothing happened. Can anyone here please give me a tip what the hell is going on???

Korrupt, did you find a solution? I've had a valve drive for years and just recently had the same issue. Just happens your post wasn't very long ago.
Not getting a response from EBS either. They've been responsive in the past but not this time..
I've also changed out tubes.. and tinkered with the switch but it seems fine..

Here's an update. The technician told me that the EQ was destroyed. Mostly because of an amateur who tried to fix that for the previous owner. I didn't get my hands on it yet. More news and confirmation of the repair coming soon.

Also, for the record, I should clarify that EBS was responsive, just a little slow. But I'd have to turn to the tech service company EBS uses that is available in the states. Not sure if this pedal is worth a costly repair yet.

Update: I got mine fixed by a professional. A component of the secondary power supply had fried. Maybe a small power surge caused it. Not sure exactly what was replaced but for anyone with a similar problem, this could be something to consider. Also if you are using a replacement power adapter, double check its compatible and of decent quality I suppose.
I use this one and has been verified as proper by the technician:

Mine eventually has a transformer(2600A) fried. My tech reached EBS via e-mail and told him that they would have the component ready for shipping in 2-3 weeks.
Then a reply was received: "Unfortunately the original transformers are of very low quality. We have now finally been able to find one manufacturer which will supply us with a capsuled type pin compatible, although this will take another 3 weeks at least. We have received other samples but they will not work due to the fact that the no load voltage raise is far too high for the capacitors at cold start." After a lot more than 3 weeks EBS hasn't replied.

I think I'll put this up for sale as broken or for components. I'm tired of this!
I'm pissed of by the fact that you give a shitload of money for a pedal and now this is happening. Just to make it clear this was the 12V non-DI version of the Valve Drive.

Dang man, I understand the frustration. It bothers me how EBS handles this situation. Part of me loves their products and wants to speak highly of the company. The other part is stuck in the boat with all the other Valve Drive owners that had to/nearly had to/may have to throw the baby out with the bathwater because their pedal fails due to poor design and are left with little to no solution.
Maybe if you could find one being sold for parts for a few bucks and can steal the transformer yourself? Otherwise I'd think it's best to cut your losses and move on, try something non-EBS.
