Eccles Sonata in G Minor

    I'm having a little bit of trouble finding a recording of all four movements in Eccles Sonata (back to back). Does anyone have it on youtube?

    I have a recording of Mark Morton performing the whole thing. It's called Thresholds vol. I, you can find it on itunes.

    Yep! That is THE recording to get. I reviewed it when it came out. His interpretation is fantastic as he uses the repeats to do new ideas rather than just a lackluster reiteration.

    I'm not a Baroque scholar by any standard, but I THINK that approach would have been completely normal during the period.

    Exactly. But too many bassists play the repeats without adding any interest.
