Eden D210T Speaker Swap?

I think I can deduce what's the tweeter at least. But
the leads from the speakers do go to that PCB, which
the input jacks are attached to. I guess that means the
speakers are thus wired to the jack? And that coil
mounted on the PCB is a filter rather than a crossover?

In any event, I grabbed a pair of the Deltalites at the
old price, while I still could. Bill was right, the originals
were 4 Ohm, wired in series. I rewired the Deltalites in
parallel and popped them in. Sounded excellent to my
old ears. I'll know better after the next rehearsal but all
other things being equal (amp, bass, etc) I can say that
I am getting much more punch than previously.

Good deal . That high pass won't affect your woofers at all , it will work just like Eden designed it . So your cab is now 4 ohm . As long as it sounds good it is good .

OK, just to update this thread - I got to play the cab last night in a
band setting. It's way better than it was before. I'd never liked that
cab stand-alone before, although it was OK if I stuck an old 15 I
had underneath it. But now it's more than acceptable by itself. I'm
looking forward to taking just the Eden to my gig tonight.

Honestly, I dunno if the Deltalite IIs would be the speaker of
choice for that cabinet, based on an engineering survey or
modeling program. But they are certainly better (for me) than
what I had before, so I consider it money well spent. And the
cabinet has lost about ten lbs at the same time, which makes a
double-plus good deal. Thanks for all your input! I'm especially
pleased that I happened to stumble over the TB thread about
what's happening with Neo speaker pricings. The same speakers
from the very same seller had gone from $89 to $153 last I
looked. Which would have made this upgrade cost-prohibitive for
me.

I like the sound of Deltalite 2510II speakers too , my favorite sounding full range speaker . I use them in my 310 cab and love the mids and low end . Congrats on the speaker swap .

Nope , not yet . The way neo prices have gone up I'll have to be happy with what I have now and I am . If I ever did do another cab with tens in it I'd be more inclined to use the s2010s just for the price if they are that good though .

Wow this thread is old! Just the same I thought I'd hop on in the hopes someone might have some comments on their experiences finding a suitable replacement 10" driver for the 90's Eden D210T cabinet?

I recently acquired one with blown drivers on the super cheap (tweeter is fine) and I installed two spare ferrite Fender Rumble 10's pulled from a Rumble 800 combo. It actually sounds great but the grill no longer fits because the outside diameter of the drivers is slightly bigger than the original Eden drivers.

Out of curiosity I went searching and landed on the Eminence Legend CA1059 driver. Truncated frame would solve my frame/installation issues and the higher power handling could be a plus.

Anyone try the CA1059 in an Eden D210T with any success or comments? Or any other driver for that matter?

Interested to see what you come up with. I had a 210XLT with creased drivers that I was able to source a pair of re-cone kits for. They weren't the best materials out there but the cab sounded pretty good afterward....not as good as the originals but gig ready for sure.

The CA 1059 seems to be the best candidate based on some reading.

I am curious, what symptoms did the original speakers have? No sound, creased or torn cones, pole piece came in glued, coil rub? I only mention repair because sometimes it's possible to save speakers. I've saved nine from the landfill so far. As for getting new speakers, it is good to measure the box volume and port dimensions. Load the new speaker's ts parameters and box dimensions in a box simulation program to see what the box is tuned to, box volume/tuning can also be compared to the recommended boxes Eminence publishes.

The original speakers were destroyed due to misuse by previous owner. The factory drivers were only 125 watts though and I need at least 500 watt rating. The CA 1059 appears to be a match for this cabinet.
