Eden E300T + 2x15 cab....Good or bad?

Hi folks,
Hope all is doing well for you....I just found out about talkbass.com....Wow I now have a family....lol ..who do understand that we are not useless...LOL

Simple question.... I owned a Eden Wt800 + 410Xlt and I'm more than happy with it.... But I'm presently looking to expand my sound palette and want something different.... I def want to stay with Eden....
I heard about the new E300T and read a (bad) review about it here....but still I am interested in it!
I was thinking about maybe the E300t and the 2x15XLT...

What do you think guys? ....and girls for sure.
Thank you in advance
Ben

Hey Ben.
I don't think it got a bad review as much as people questioning whether it was a rebadged product from China. AFAIK no-one on that thread actually played one. That said- the Fame amp has had good reviews which is ... um .... possibly maybe ... um ... the same thing.

Hi, Ben.

Welcome to TalkBass

Can't say anything about the Eden cab exept the 15"s will most probably sound very good with an all tube amp.

The amp itself isn't half bad, there's some design flaws that IMHO should be dealt with, but the basic amp is heavenly for old school rock tone.

There hasn't been any internal pics about the Eden head, but one owner of the said amp wrote that the PCBs in Ashton and Fame look exactly the same as in his. I have the Fame "version".

It's a cheap tube amp so the tubes might or might not be properly tested. There's been reports of failing pre tubes and on mine one power tube was constantly shifting bias, so I replaced a pair. IMHO perfectly natural and expected with lower quality tubes. Acceptable in a new head? that I won't comment.

One thing I definately have to say, the EDEN head looks ten times better than the other variants.

If You do some more digging about Ashton and Fame, You'll find out more positive reviews.

Regards
Sam
