Eden e300t tube amp di questions

On a eden e300t the D.I does not mute when the mute button in pressed, only the cab is muted.
My question is. If you set up the amp and cab up as normal, then press the mute button on the foot switch.could you use this as a D.I for recording.would this hurt my amp? Would this be the same as running the amp without a cab? Just wondering.

from the owners manual....

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT use your VT-300B without a speaker
load. Doing so will cause damage. Running this amp without a speaker
load is a VERY BAD THING. Don’t do it. Ever. Remember, this is a
vacuum tube amplifier, not a solid state amplifier.

REPEAT IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT use your VT-300B without a
speaker load. Doing so will cause damage. Running this amp without a
speaker load is a VERY BAD THING. Don’t do it. Ever.

Using the WTB-300 Without Speakers -This amplifier is NOT designed to
be used safely without the loud speaker plugged in. Doing so will cause
serious damage to your amplifier. We keep saying this because it is so
important.

I sorry, I must not have explained my self correctly. The amp is pluged in to a speaker.when the mute button is pressed on the footswitch the speaker is muted, but the D.I is not. Only the e300t does this. The current version the wtb300v does not do this.
If you mute the speaker and play through the D.I will this hurt my amp?
