Eden EX110?

Does anyone have any experience with the Eden EX110, and if so, what do you think of it?
Because it's 4 Ohm 300w 1x10, I'm thinking of getting one to use in combination with an Ashdown Little Giant 1000 (which I've just ordered) and buying a second one later, when I can afford it. It seems to me this would make a relatively fine, affordable "mini rig of doom" as it's called here.

I played one in a local store with an Eden micro head about two weeks ago. It's a very nice little 4-ohm cabinet that would be great for a coffee house gig, small gigs with a restrained drummer, piano trio, recording, or as a near-ear stage monitor for PA support gigs. It sounded fine with the 4- and 5-string basses that I played through it. It would probably be great with an upright as well.

Did you try the Ashdown little giant with the EX110 cab? I'm thinking of trying the same setup and was wondering if its a good setup?

I used to use a Laney 300w head through a Warwick 2x10 cab and found it sounded great, enough volume for most gigs, and thats why i thought this set up would be a good light weight replacement.

I'd appreciate any advice

I concur that the ex112 sounds much smoother than the ex110, you really should check it out first.

Also, if you plan on adding a second one, get the 8 ohm version so you can run 4 ohms total when you run both.

These are nice little cabs. You can't go loud with them, but for reasonable volume levels they sound really nice and are super-portable. They just look cool too.

same as everyone else - Go with the EX112 - for $40 bucks extra , gives you quite a lot more tone. You have plenty of headroom in that amp; 2 x 500W at 4ohms. To get the best use out of it stick with two 4 ohm cabs (one in each channel.) I would not get 8 ohm cabs if you plan on playing just one now. You might find you have to turn up quite a bit when running just one. Although if you keep buying 8ohm cabs you could eventually have a very portable 4x10. I found no ratings for running your amp at 8ohm per channel, typically you should get around 300W at 8ohms, but I bet its 250W or less. There's usually a reason they leave out publishing complete amp ratings.

I picked up a used 8 ohm EX110 along with an old Ampeg Porta250. After a few practices I decided to try the Ampeg and 110 alone, with my Rumble 500 in the car. It's a loud band, but I can keep up. With my 115 cabinet the sound is a bit fuller, but this is a speaker I can leave at the practice site and just bring a head. Having just picked up a TC Electronics BQ500 I have an impressively big sound in an equally impressively little package. I plan to gig with this on top of my 115.
