Eden Nemesis RS115 or RS210 - can't decide.

For home rehearsal and practice, on-stage monitoring, low volume rehearsal room use. What I want from it; enough guts to keep up with a kit, solid fundamental, low B solidness, tight tone, no mud..

please :help:...

Ive got the new RS115, havnt tried the RS210 yet. But the 115 on its own is really impressive and can be played with a semi loud drummer R&B/funk band of mine just fine, get a $30 amp stand and your good to go! The tone is maybe a bit dry for some, but it can cut through like a knife, however my old Ibanez ATK helps as well... I leave the edge and enhance knobs alone, and run the eq flat with some slight boost in the low mids = very loud, tight tone, and light weight!
I also just got the new RSP115 bass extension cab, I was always worried that a small rig like this may not be loud enough or not have the head room for some bigger gigs (of course I used to have a GK 2000rb 1000watt head with multiple large cabs) but this is all I think Ill ever need and all under 70lbs total!!!

I bought an RS 210 last summer and its been my main amp since. We are a 4pc Modern Rock cover band and it worked perfectly. It has enough power for the guys to hear me and then some. If I can, I'll put it on a chair, but usually its on the floor pointed toward me a bit. The controls make very big changes in the sound. For example, the bass control is pretty touchy, the change from 12 O'clock to 1 O'clock is very noticable. That can be a good thing for bad thing depending on if you are happy with your sound that day :-) I don't use the seperate para eq, and run the line out to the board.

I don't rely on the amp to fill the room. The PA provides the bulk of our sound as we mike the guitar, kick and my line out (vocals of course) We run a medium sized bi-amp setup. EAW 12+tweeter (I think with a 1200w Crown, but we don't have it full up. Maybe pushing 800w) with a single 1x15 powered sub (Not sure the power on the sub. Not a ton). Never any complaints about the bass not being loud enough (but of course I have had to turn down, lol). A few times I've let guys sit in and its sounded pretty good to me out in the audience !! Only problem is that some places we play have raised floors and that can get a bit boomy for any bass amp.

This replaces an SWR BASS 350 and Goliath III. For outdoor gigs, I've used the Nemesis with the SWR cabinet as an extension. The SWR is more 'hi-fi' sounding. When I A-B them at home, the SWR seems overly bright. The Eden is more low-midrangy. But they are both very good amps and the power and tone shaping is functionally similar I would say. And both are 300W amps.

Negatives - The blue glowing flourecent logo looks really cool until you need to make an adjustment at a gig. You can't see the position of the black knobs on the black faceplate with 50 million candlepower of Blue glowing away :-) I took some liquid paper and put a white dot where the knob marker is, and that helped.

The parametric eq is kinda useless (for me anyway). It doesn't really add or filter anything usefull for me in particular. I keep it bypassed for the most part.

Lots of options, lot of punch and power, easy portable package, moderate price. Beats draggin around a 2x10 and head all weekend, thats for sure !!

man.. thanks for the posts guys but I'm still undescided. I should rephrase my question to what are the main DIFFERENCES between the RS210 and the RS115, that might clear up my quandry.. I think I'll give the RS212 a miss because I already own a LMII and a Epi UL410 so I really only want to add a small box solution for low level playing to my arsenal.

Remo, go the 115. Of all the bands I have ran sound for on the blues curcuit, here in the US, many, many guys gig with just a 115 combo or cab. But I have yet to see anybody gig with just a 210 cab. Most of these little clubs have no PA support , and a 15 will fill a room, but a 210 cab can't do it. Good luck to ya!! Wish I was back down there. Man that nite at the Mermaids Cave down on St.Kilda road, was like heaven!

Hey, JoeGeezer! This is the one tiny jewel of information that has eluded me for years of poring over amp and cabinet descriptions and nails the situation I'm moving into. 2x10s are a tempting size for shared trunk space and a later post recommends the 2x10 for tone but I just need to be HEARD! :) Thanks a ton!

im looking at the 2x10 ,i cant believe how it sounds. i have a peavy mark 6 with 1x15 and 2 x8 cab. i want to get back into things but want an amp i can grab and go.the eden 2x10 looks like a winner.i want to just play for the joy of it so i think in my case the 2x10 will work.great question remo u guys helped me alot
