I'm wondering, because I'm having a hard time finding good examples, if anyone has any audio examples of bass tones they've recorded directly with an Eden WTDI into an interface or mixer with no other amp/cab simulation going on? I've been on a quest with this DI stuff - actually any specific DI pedals that anyone has some clips of them recorded directly? A lot of the videos and audio I'm finding are using the DI pedals with an amp, and essentially using them for tone shaping/EQing instead of as an actual DI/Preamp.

Thanks for any feedback you can give me!

I recorded this yesterday with my traveller 550 DI :)

I used logics compressor plugin in parrallel - smashed it with about 30% compressed mix - and evened our the rest by automating the fader. I bussed out some saturation plugs, and glued it to the karaoke track (without bass) using a clean compressor on the master bus.
With this particular song you’d struggle to get away without a comp, so it should give a fair idea. The only eq on the amp was a couple of notches boost at 150hz, and I bumped 1.6k in the daw by 1.5dB. It didn’t really change the tone, just helped it fit a bit nicer. I can post the raw file if you like?
