will this give me the "eden" tone without having to get a whole eden amp head

current rig is a pf 500 and ampeg 115 pf cab. I like the sound but I do love eden tone as well (phil lesh mike gordon etc)

wanting to see if its worth it to get a wtdi to a/b tones and if I like maybe grab an eden head at some point

I have the WTDI.

I don't think it does a bad job of getting the Eden tone. My biggest complaint was that it does not have the semi parametric mids EQ that the Eden Amps have so I found it kind of limiting.

I don't currently use it any more in my live rig but when I did I ran it into the effects return on My amp so I could just have the Eden WTDI preamp and skip the preamp on my amp.
