Effect loops?

Hey guys. I was kind of curious.. In this video ojay seems to be playing over a few sound loops. sounds like theres a drum track in there, and at one point he has one of his bass lines on repeat while he solos the next. What is this witchcraft he possesses??? And what is he plugged into?? Slap the Bass - YouTube

Hi There mate. Well... I was playing through two boss loop stations (rc 20s) using only one on this vid, with a beat on it and I had just played and recorded a b-line on it. Also in-line is a line 6 DL 4 delay modeller with a simple delay. Modulation modeller (unused) and a koasillator (unused)
