Effect Order, Where does Synth fall in?

I have read about effect orders and none mention synth pedals. Where do they go? Does it matter? Does it even matter if you only use one at a time anyway?

Right now I am running Prunes N Custard Fuzz> QTron> Markbass Super Synth

I would put the synth ahead of the other effects, so that you can add fuzz and a subsequent filter to your synth sounds

That! I run my synthy pedals first and then use fuzz, filter, modulation and/or delay after the synthy goodness

I run as follows:
Octave > Synthy Pedals > Fuzz > Filter

This is my board with a synth pedal. My chain goes right to left as seen, starting at the tuner, synth, octave, envelope, dirt, then phaser.

I rarely use more than one effect at a time, except for the Sly Stone tune Higher, when i use octave, dirt and phaser to get get a fake Larry Graham sound. We play Hella Good by No Doubt and i combine the synth with the phaser and it sounds pretty close to the original synth tone on the tune.
