Effect Pedals Order Question

I've got 5 pedals in my chain: distortion, chorus, phaser, envelope filter and wah. What order would you guys put them in?

It would help to know what style of music you play and what the actual pedals are, but here's a very general idea:

Distortion, Wah, Envelope Filter, Phaser, Chorus.

But some people like their wah before their distortion and some like their wah last in the chain. I've found that some phasers work better downstream of other effects and some work best before everything but my octave pedal. It really depends on what you like and the sound you are going for.

The truth is that you can use the order I gave and then go trial and error to see if there is a better setup.

The actual pedals are: Digitech Synth Wah (envelope filter), Digitech Multi-Chorus, Dunlop Bass Wah, MXR 90 Phase, Ibanez PD7 (distortion).

I play in a rock metal band, but my style is more of funk, jazz etc.

Thanks for the help guys. I was experimenting earlier today, and the phase late in the chain really helps!

I'd actually put the Synth Wah first.. I run my EHX Bass MicroSynth first in my chain. -> PD-7 -> Wah -> Phase -> Chorus

part of the reaso is that the dynamic triggering of the synth works best when it's as direct as possible. On my BMS, I even have it before my compressor.

Chuck the BSW and go distortion >> wah >> phaser >> chorus.

+1 to Bassman -- definitely go with the BSW at the beginning if you keep it. I loathe that little green box, but kudos if you can get a sound you like.
