effects chain

Need a little advice here.... does anyone know of a site that shows the proper set up of effects for bass? I mean like what should go were for the chain?

THanks

It's not written in stone how a chain should be.
Sometimes you got to try things out, change around to see what works best.

In general, compressors and effects that track your signal (octaver, synths) should go very first in the chain.
Dimensional effects like delay and reverb last in line.

Drive pedals before modulation... although some people get great results with placing modulation before an overdrive.

Most people prefer equalizing after distortion... I got great results with equalizing before distortion.

What effects do you have?

I need help on the bass effect chain as well. I have a tech 21 Sansamp bass DI, a Boss gt-6b effects processor, a Bass big muff pi distortion, a morley power wah boost, and my nady wireless. How do I set all that up so I can get a clean sound. If I were to buy a seperate compressor and or an eq from the processor....where do I fit that?:bassist:
