Effects order

Before someone bashes me, I did read the sticky about the effects order. I'm looking for possible other suggestions, including where to put the tuner. Thank you in advance.

Here's what I got and the order so far;
Input into the Line 6 wireless
*(Pitch black Tuner)* [must mute to tune]
MXR M82 Envelope filter
MXR M87 compressor
Tech21 Sansamp programmable distortion
Micro POG octaver
MXR ZW-38 Chorus
Visual Volume pedal - T out to *(Pitch black Tuner)*
Output to Markbass CMD102P

Should I leave the tuner first after the wireless so it gets an uneffected signal? Or should I connect it on the "tuner out" on the volume pedal to tune the effected signal. The later would enable me to tune without muting if I choose.

Does the rest of the order look right? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I like to send all of my distortion thru the wah. I'd put the/a tuner either at end of the chain or the begining. In your situation, the end.

First I'm going to need you to put the fifth pedal second. Then put the third pedal fourth and the fourth pedal first. And you'll want to put the tuner at the end of the chain so you're getting the right notes out of everything.

LOL j/k man, there's no cut and dried way of doing it. There's a recommended way and then there's the plug-and-play way. Pick one and go with it. You don't need people telling you what to do all the time...or at least with this instance.

Thanks! I guess my first concern was about the altered input sound for next the pedal which in turn alters the sound again, and getting the desired result.

Second concern was the incoming sound being "out of the designed parameter" for the tolerated input signal for a particular pedal.

If it's no harm no foul, trial and error works for me.

As you seem to know already, trial and error is the best way to learn what works with your rig, but there's nothing wrong with asking for advice on these dilemas. Some folks get worked up when people ask 'stupid' questions about pedal order, but it can be tricky, and there are so many combinations and different pedals have different quirks, so I always think of these as fun 'puzzle' threads...

Now, "What overdrive should I get?" threads ARE stupid....

In your case, I think I'd suggest trying:

Bass
Wireless
Octaver
Filter
Chorus
Compressor
Volume --> Tuner
Sansamp
Amp

I'd put the octaver first to help with tracking and I think folks seem to like octave before filter if you ever use them together, but I really don't, so I'm not the most qualified on that one. I'd put the Comp later to help with peaks caused by the octave or filter. I don't think it would matter much if the chorus was before or after the comp, but I like comp last-ish. I use my Pitch Black tuner last and it works flawlessly (in drop C), so I think the convenience for you is no problem. I'd keep the sansamp last to act as a front end to your amp.

It really depends on what sound you want. Even listing some examples like "Justin's tone on (insert Tool song here)" or Rex's tone on (insert Pantera/Down/Crowbar/Rebel Meets Rebel/Arms of the Sun/Kill Devil Hill song here) would help.

Do you want to put fuzz on the filter or filter the fuzz? Flange the filtered fuzz, fuzz the filtered flange or filter the flanged fuzz? Ya know?
