I have an Ampeg B2RE amp with a Alesis 3630 compressor. I play my P-bass through one 18" and two 10" speakers. I would like some advise on how to set my compressor to maximize my sound while playing small clubs and bars. Can anyone help me get started.

Do you have an FX loop?

It kinda depends on the desired tone... Are you trying to get more low end, bring out your attack, more over all level, whatcha tryin to do?
