EHX Nano Bass Big Muff?

I'm having some SERIOUS g.a.s. for a bass Big Muff. I first wanted to get the Deluxe version but realized that I wouldn't need the extra features that it has. The regular bass Big Muff seemed like a perfect option but it's bigger than the average pedal and we all know that space in the pedalboard is very important.

EHX released the Nano Big Muff last year, which is pretty much aBig Muff bit in a smaller size. Months have passed and they haven't announced one for bass.

SO... I emailed them and asked about the posibility of making it and they told me that new products are announced on ther website. Nothing more!

I think lots of people would love to have a Nano Bass Big Muff so maybe we could make some internet buzz or something, thoughts?

Don't forget that unlike the Deluxe, you will still need to bust out your soldering iron to fix the volume boost issue in dry mode! I'm planning on getting one if they haven't made it too difficult to mod.

Oh, and if by chance you are in the UK (as the last two letters of your username), then this is the place that'll have them in first:

Never heard of that before, is it too bad? :/

Thanks but the uk on my user name doesn't refer to the UK hahaha

Without the mod, when set to dry mode and the volume is all the way off, you have your regular dry signal. Adding volume from there just layers fuzz on top, resulting in a volume boost. I like something like a 70/30 wet/dry ratio, so putting the volume up to 2 o'clock gives a satisfactory blend, but then you end up blowing the roof off when you stomp on it! The master volume mod reigns in the overall volume to make it usable. Otherwise the Deluxe has separate blend and volume knobs, the way it should be done!

Son of a gun. I was all about committed to getting a Wilson wah to help my solo parts, and now THIS comes out at a little over half the price of the wah?! No fair!

I got the Nano Bass Muff in the mail yesterday, it sounds great! I'm not hearing a volume increase issue in dry mode. Seems to work perfectly for me. I have the Black Russian Big Muff which is the best sounding muff I've every used (i had the big NYC version once too). The Nano Bass Muff does sound different, perhaps not as warm but more cutting than the Black Russian, I really like it and its gonna get a lot of use!

I'm really considering the EHX Nano Bass Big Muff. It sounds great in the demos. Then someone suggested a Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive. Now I'm a bit on the fence. I really love the size and price of the EHX, but the Boss has that blend knob... I am not getting the larger EHX pedals.

Did anyone out there get around to compare the Nano Bass Big Muff with the ODB-3?
