I was playing a vintage electra phoenix p bass (early 80s) at guitar center earlier. never heard of them before. it was in awful condition and had crappy old strings on it but the thing was super duper funky. FAT

anyone got one of these bad boys? thoughts?
I felt it was a hidden underpriced gem.

It was like this one. Considering pulling the trigger even though i literally just said i'd never buy a non 30" scale bass again haha.

Electra/Westone club

In Europe these were Westone branded and 1000's of them sold. It's a measure of their popularity when folks on TV were playing them. An old UK show called Rock School aired on,I think, PBS. Bass man Henry Thomas always played a Westone,earlier models Thunders were his thing.
