Electric Bass rigs for Bluegrass Players???

I'm not a bluegrass player, but my Godin A5 fretless can emulate an upright pretty well, especially after I installed LaBella nylon tape-wound strings on it. Personally, my take on uprights is that I don't own one, I don't have a place to store one, I don't have a way to transport one...and I can't play one. This Godin is a reasonable substitute.

You ain't looking for answers anymore but probably any P or PJ will do fine. If you're looking for a more upright tone use tapewounds.

A P bass w flats works well, any amp with good low end will do, you will not come close to the attack, sustain and decay of a dub but you can make it work
