Anyone have experience with one? I just stumbled across them online and am very interested. Won't have the extra $ to get one for awhile unless I sell some gear but it looks like a really interesting pedal. Here it is:

Hey there. I had one and sold it. The housing is huge and I found it difficult to get a good sound out of it. It worked better on guitar than bass. If you're playing experimental knob twiddling music it may me useful to you. Best of luck!
It does look pretty big but I don't mind size if the extra controls are worth it. The controls seem pretty interactive and it seems made for doing some strange stuff.
What about it didn't work well with bass? With the blend knob I would expect it to work great with bass at least when dialed in right.
It took a lot of time to find any bass-appropriate useful sounds and when I did, the slightest movement of any control would completely change the sound to something I didn't really want/ like. It's an interesting pedal for sure but more suited to experimental music/ noise making.
I like pedals that are super versatile/ weird and unconventional. I feel like you get the most out of your $ with them sometimes, at least when they can nail classic stuff too.
Hopefully I see one of these used for a nice price eventually as I would really love to play with one but don't need to spend more $ on pedals or gear in general really...
It most certainly can work with bass and put out some huge lows. Check out this old clip from when I had one I recorded into an old EHX 2880 looper. I was goofing around with an idea and got this sound that reminded me of a child coughing that I thought was just too creepy. The distorted bass in the loop is also from just the Flanger Hoax too.
That said, everything else people are saying is correct. There are one million sounds in this thing and the way the pedal interacts (and even samples) itself means the sounds are very hard to reproduce, if not impossible. After I recorded that sloppy, goofing around coughing clip, I thought to myself, "I'll do a better version of this later" and I never got that coughing sound again. It's best suited for a synthesizer or table-top setup where you can mess with the knobs in real time. It really is one of the most unique pedals I have ever played and probably the most formidable analog flanger of all time.
