So I have an opportunity to get a bass mini synth but it doesn't have a power supply. I know they're not the standard 9v but know nothing beyond that. What kind are they and where can I find them? Thanks.

I think you need to get it from EHX, or get an EHX one from somewhere else. I don't know the exact one for the BMS. I have a Muff'n and a POG that take unique adaptors. Like in the range of 1A, and I think that I'd not want to even modify another adaptor to try and run them. You can get them from EHX, so....do that.

Also... the adapter you're looking for is:
24VDC
100mA or more
2.5mm
Center-positive
Regulated
So if you needed to get a replacement... any adapter with the above specs will do.

Radio Shack might have some sort of equivalent 24VDC adapter you could get, but expect it to be shoddy...

All you need to do is buy a 24v DC adaptor... I believe the standard one is around 100ma. No need for official EHX adaptors or anything like that. Those warnings are part true in that a really cheap quality adaptor might let go and put 110v through your pedal, but as long as you use a reasonable quality 24v adaptor, there are no worries.
Being in Australia and buying most my effects from the US, means none of my pedals have the 'correct' power feed.

Well, that's unlikely, but cheap adapters have awful filtering and are often the source of nasty hum.
i've had trouble finding the EH replacement 24V tranformers here local to me in AUstralia. where should I lok karate kid?
it always baffles me why EHX dont' make a 'power brick' style unit to supply multiple effects of their own brand and strange voltages....

Considering all the cool new and reissue pedals they're doing... maybe we could coax them into it.

I was just trying to pick a worst case scenario. Even if they do poo themselves, they normally just stop working rather than spike IME.
Or Dick Smith, Tandy etc...
My local music store has some nice adaptors too. You might want to check with yours.
