Jesus... Well, the difference couldn't be more substantial. I play Fodera strings on my Fodera, and they're brighter then hell, and, IN MY OPINION, die very quickly. However, they are probably the easiest playing strings that I've ever used. I've only used elixer's once, and they lasted much much longer then the foderas did. In terms of sound and playability, they didn't leave much of an impression.
