So, I have here a recently acquired Elrick/Cort NJS 5.
I was eager to get my hands one since they were announced earlier this year.
After spending some time with it, I've come to realize that I'm not a 35" scale player any longer, so I'm listing here.
This is a modern sounding jazz, alder body, maple neck and fretboard, proprietary hum canceling pickups with a USA Bartolini preamp, p/p active passive, p/p mid select.
The bridge pickup seems in be in 60's position.
The low B is clear and authoritative.
The tuners and bridge are good quality.
A nice gig bag is included too.
I would compare this bass to an import MTD, FWIW
Full disclosure, my biggest issue with this instrument is the finish is very susceptible to swirling and light scratching, just from unpacking and light playing there is some of that going on, although they won't photograph, basically it's like if you picked up a display instrument in a store, but obviously not as manhandled lol.
