Ok, quick search shows it's Matt Bissonette. What a monster!
Greg Bissonette's brother. He took over for Billy Sheehan when sheehan left the DLR band
It was Matt Bissonette and he sounded amazing. Kudos also to the sound engineers who kept his tone in a fully different part of the sound spectrum from Elton John's very busy left hand.
The whole band was excellent. Except for Elton John, really. I'm a big fan and glad he's been kicking it this long. But his voice is understandably finished. He didn't hit a single one of the falsetto lines that made him famous and he barked out the melodies versus singing them.
But he is 75 after all. It was a nostalgia show. And, for that, good.

The Elton John Band is so incredibly tight a joy to behold. Elton may be the best Rock piano player ever, certainly my favorite. Matt B totally owned the bass parts and Ray Cooper is always such a pleasure to watch.
