EMG blend, AC or MN taper?

The keywords are not quite easy to type and search. I'd like one for a Haz-style Steinberger-style preamp, and I'd prefer an AC taper closer to the original.

Or do you mean a passive blend suitable for EMG pickups?

those are actual active 2-in 1-out mixers, not sure either designation applies

barring that, a regular 25k M/N blend pot should work fine

@AgingEngineer may have something for you if you don't want to use the EMG blend. He builds the LHZ preamps and some accessory/peripheral components, among which a blend. If you don't want a ready-made component, he may still have some good input on what kind of pot to use.

As mentioned above, the ABC is an active mixer with its own internal preamps per channel so the "AC" vs "MN" designations don't really apply quite the same though I suspect they use an AC-taper pot in it. Since they advertised that there is no insertion loss, I think those are MN tapers for the ABC and ABCX

I would look into LHZ Preamps, made by Lonnie West, our own @AgingEngineer. They are fantastic quality Haz clones available in 2 or 3 band variants. He also carries a blend pot similar to the ABC but for substantially less $$ with versions for both active and passive pickups.

If you are going to use EMG active pickups, to avoid incompatibility, you are better off using the EMG pre and/or ABC (or ABCX if you are using X-series pickups). Quiet - >-100 dB noise floor. Reliable - I have used mine in regular gigging for more than a decade with no issues. Modular - everything plugs in with no need to solder. Versatile - you can wire it any way you choose for your preferred signal path. Don't waste your time trying to mix-and-match. Do it right the first time and gig it for the rest of your playing days.
