EMG JV Pickup ?

I'm not even close to an expert in this area but I'll attempt to help since no one else has.

EMG JV's are active pickups. They require a 9 volt battery. If you buy them you'll get new pots, a battery clip, and an output jack included with the pickups. You'll have to use the new pots. I don't think the old ones in your Jazz will work. The battery will also have to go in the control cavity. I've never put these in a Jazz but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work out just fine.

I had JV's in a couple Jazzes. As previously stated, they are active pickups. They are straight drop-ins for a standard Jazz Bass and come with all the harnesses, pots etc and are a very easy install. They give you a good vintage Jazz Bass sound, vintage look, and no hum.
