EMG JVX in a Jaguar?

I have a 2007 MIJ Fender Jaguar. Today I came across a set of EMG JVX fairly cheap, but I don't really know much about anything, except that these are great pickups.

Will they fit the Jaguar? Well, they're J's and the Jag has J's, right?

Will they be a worthwhile improvement? The preamp is supposed to be the weak point of the Jag.

Would I/could I/should I still use the active bass/treble controls and the series switch? I guess the on/off switches for both pickups could still be used with the EMG set, right?

I couldn't find anything anywhere on Jags with JVX, so here I stand, hat in hand. Thanks for your input.

You'd still be able to use the current preamp with the JVX pickups but the series/parallel switch wouldn't work due to how EMG pickups are designed. i'm not sure why exactly but their active pickups can not be put in series, only parallel
