The cat didn't want to be rescued?
... Was hanging from a window by her front leg. ..
About 6 ft
6 ft....I would have let that cat go and walk it off.
Thanks guys. With hindsight, you are right. She had been hanging for a while and had hurt her paw. Although not high, was not easy either for her to get free or for someone to free herYeah, cats can handle way more than that. We used to have a cat that would get on the roof of the extended back room of the house and then leap over to the second story bathroom window if she heard someone inside. She'd hang onto the screen by her claws and meow at you with eyes big as quarters. Try as we might we couldn't do anything for her from inside. By the time we got the ladder outside she had already let go and dropped onto the concrete patio. Landed on her feet with no injuries.
She did that a few times before learning not to do that. Instead she would sit on the roof and meow until we opened the window and let her leap into the bathroom. Bad habit, but we always let her do it because it was cool to see her do it.
